[剧情简介]
　　三十年代初，北平。曾家被时代的风雨摧撼得行将垮塌，为了重振曾家欲光宗耀祖，曾老太爷向新兴的资本家杜老板借高利贷，给刚成年的孙子曾霆娶亲，用办喜事来冲掉笼罩在曾家头上的阴云。但结果并不如人愿，曾老太太还是死了，大少爷文清依然浑沌的活着，他暗恋着表妹愫方十几年，却不敢对其表达爱情。他恨不能自己，最终选择了死亡。

[Description]
At the beginning of 1930s, Peiping.Family Zeng was to be collapsed by the storm of the time. To revive the family and bring honour to his ancestors, Lord Zeng borrowed usury from Boss Du, a newly emerging capitalist, to have Zeng Ting, his grandson who has just grown up, to get married, with the intention of eradicating the dark clouds upon family Zeng by the wedding. But it was not always keeping with one’s wishes: Lord Zeng died and Wenqing, the eldest son, was still living a turbid life. He has been keeping in love to Sufang, his cousin, for dozens of years, but dare not express it. He so heated himself and chose to die at last.
Fortunes of women in yard of family Zeng, had no choice but to struggled with the coming down of family Zeng – Siyi, the wife of the eldest son, was overbearing, unbelieving and scheming in nature, but she had no way to retrieve the situation; Cousin Su was kind in heart, and tried her best to look after all family members, but the fortune was still unchanged; Wencai, the elder daughter, thinking high of family’s esteem, supported the family narrowly, but was painful in her mind; while, Ruizheng, wife of the grandson, was a new female with progressed thought.
